Original Floor Plan of El Torreon Hacienda

At left, you will see the original floor plan of this remarkable hacienda. The floor plan of the main hacienda was originally laid out in the early 1840s and the hacienda was reportedly completed in 1847.

The hacienda might very well be called "Valdez-Cardenas Hacienda", because this hacienda was continually occupied by these families for over160 years. But Mario Cardenas placed a yellow sign in front of the hacienda many years ago that said "El Torreon" to advertise his trailer park, so many people became familiar with that sign and that name seems to have stuck.

Note the lack of right angles in many of the El Torreon Hacienda's rooms. This delightful feature lends itself well to the illusion of penetrating the past to feel what it would be like in the hacienda the 1840s.

El Torreon Hacienda is being expertly renovated to provide intimate and enjoyable space for shops of all types, from art to clothing, from jewelry to crafts. These rooms are also very adaptable to computer workstation operations in a space that feels very relaxing, timeless and distinctive.
