The web is TV..., and what you will see when you surf the Web will be more and more like TV all the time..., just as TV is becoming more like the Web all the time. Digital Video allows you to tell your story in your own words, in your own way. Or you can make up a story and tell it through the media of digital video on the Web. Taos Multimedia studio uses 525 line Canon digital cameras coupled with firewire to Apple computers. Captured digital images can be processed and delivered globally in a very high quality rapid time-frame mode. Types of digital images include digital video, animations, photographs, or motion graphics. There are three file formats used by Taos MultiMedia Studio to deliver digital video content on the worldwide Web. These are: Apple Quicktime, Real Video, and Microsoft Streaming Media. Each of these formats requires a browser plug-in. In most cases your newer PC or Mac already has these plug-ins loaded into your browser. Another popular format for motion (animation or video-type) is Flash Shockwave. This Macromedia developed file format is an ideal halfway to video type step, but it is also viewed as a premiere method of delivering fast loading small file-sized animations on the web These file formats are also used for Digital Video Discs (DVD) to deliver the program materials directly into your computer. Virtual Reality Types The first of the VRs is an immersive technology that allows your viewer go within a place or space. This is called a "panorama" or "panoramic" VR (virtual reality). This type of VR is useful for such businesses as hotels, motels, b&bs, casitas, retreat centers, or other types of lodging. In these cases, you can use the "virtual-space" on your web site to draw your viewers to rent your "actual-space", aqui en Taos. Perhaps you want to educate your Web site viewers about the inner workings of your crafts factory..., or something like that? Pretty Cool! Panoramic Quicktime (QT) Virtual Reality files are created by taking a series of photographs using a digital camera that is mounted on a special tripod head set-up especially made for virtual reality photography. The number of photographs varies because of the variety of lenses. TMMS is currently making VR panoramas based on 18 photographic images per 360º. The photographic images are loaded into the computer and then these files are processed photographically and all 18 are stitched together forming a very pleasing and informative image file. This image file can be viewed on any InterNet browser with the widely used Quicktime plug-in available from Apple. The second virtual reality is a "hands-on" technology that allows your viewer to control their view of an object on a Web site. This is called an "object" VR (virtual reality). This type of VR is useful for such businesses as sales of jewelry, small statues / sculptures, drums, beaded items, and just about anything that has a top, front, back, left and right sides. In these cases, you can use the virtual object to "virtually-send" the object to a person in hopes that you can later "actually-send" the item to the customer. Perhaps you want to educate your Web site viewers about the way a specific part for a machine needs to look.? Also, Pretty Cool! Object Quicktime (QT) Virtual Reality files are created by taking a series of photographs using a tripod-mounted digital camera oriented toward a special VR turntable set-up especially for virtual reality photography. Generally, TMMS takes 36 photographic images per 360º. The photographic images are loaded into the computer and then these files are processed photographically and all 36 are stitched together forming a very pleasing and informative image file. This image file can be viewed on any InterNet browser with the widely used Quicktime plug-in available from Apple. If you want the latest Quicktime plug-in Click Here. Digital Audio Taos MultiMedia Studio captures Digital Audio from Compact Disc, Digital Audio Tape (DAT), standard cassette for inclusion in projects from Video to Web.
